Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This is permanent and cannot be undone — all your matches, messages, and bookings will be removed. Pending bookings are cancelled and refunded according to each club's policy.
I forgot my password.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within 2 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or email support@matchpoint.app.
My ELO dropped unexpectedly after a match.
Check the match history in your profile — each match shows the ELO change and why. Losing to someone lower-rated costs more than losing to a higher-rated player. If you still think there's an error, email support@matchpoint.app with the match details.
My opponent submitted a wrong result.
If you and your opponent submit different results, the match goes into review. Both players have 48 hours to confirm. If unresolved, email support@matchpoint.app with the match ID — we'll review chat logs and court bookings to decide.
A player is harassing me. What can I do?
Tap their profile and choose Block or Report. Blocked users can't message or challenge you. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and violations lead to warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans depending on severity.
I can't find any players nearby.
MatchPoint is actively growing. If there aren't many players in your area yet, try expanding your search radius (Profile → Search radius). You can also invite friends — every new player makes the network better for you.
How do I book a court?
Open the Courts tab, pick your city, and browse nearby clubs. Tap a club to see their courts, availability, and prices. Pick a time slot, confirm, and pay — you'll get a confirmation immediately.
I want to cancel a court booking.
Open the booking in your profile and tap Cancel. Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel and the club's policy — most clubs refund fully if you cancel 24 hours in advance.
Can I use MatchPoint outside Greece?
We're currently focused on Athens. If you'd like MatchPoint in your city, tell your local clubs to apply — we launch new cities when enough players and clubs are ready.
Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use. You only pay when you book a court — and those prices are set by each club, not by us.
