Terms of Service

By creating a MatchPoint account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use MatchPoint.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MatchPoint. By accepting, you confirm you meet this requirement.

MatchPoint provides:

• A platform for finding tennis and padel opponents
• ELO-based competitive rankings
• Court booking and scheduling tools
• In-app messaging between players

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice to users.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information during signup
• Keeping your password secure and confidential
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring you meet the age requirement of 16+

You may have only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or evade suspensions is grounds for a permanent ban.

By submitting match results, you confirm:

• The match was played in full and in good faith
• Both players agreed to the result
• No result manipulation or rank boosting occurred
• You played the match yourself (no account sharing)

Manipulating the ELO system — including sandbagging, rank boosting, or submitting false results — may lead to score reversal and account suspension.

Booking terms:

• Bookings are subject to each club's cancellation policy
• Payment is processed via Stripe at the time of booking
• Refunds follow the cancellation window set by each club
• No-shows may result in fees and lower reputation score
• Disputes with clubs should first be raised with the club directly

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
• Send spam, solicitations, or unauthorized promotional content
• Impersonate other players or organizations
• Upload obscene, illegal, or infringing content
• Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service
• Use MatchPoint for any commercial purpose without our written consent

Violations may result in warnings, message deletion, or account suspension.

We may suspend or permanently ban your account if:

• You violate these Terms or our community guidelines
• You engage in fraud, harassment, or illegal activity
• You repeatedly no-show bookings or matches
• Your account has been inactive for over 24 months

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

MatchPoint is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Injuries sustained during matches arranged through the app
• Disputes between players or between players and clubs
• Loss of data due to service outages or account deletion
• Financial losses from court bookings or third-party transactions

You use MatchPoint at your own risk. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Athens, Greece, unless EU consumer law provides otherwise in your jurisdiction.
